  • Fall from on high

    June 6th, 2024

    Fall from on high
    By AJ O’Brien.

    A thousand blazing suns
    from galaxies unknown
    erupted from his eyes
    and falling toward emptiness
he dreams forever of his demise.

    So the keeper of sorrows
    held sadness at bay
    as he collected the tears
    of the lost and lonely,
    on that terrible day.

    For an Angel of God
    a crimson liquid shadow
    has fallen from grace,
    and banished from above
to reside beneath our mortal race.

  • Above and beyond

    Above and beyond
    By AJ O’Brien.

    Struggling for light
    my mind high and dry
    seeking only solitude
    beneath a crowded sky.

    Madness, so enticing,
    kneeling before my lover’s grave
    forgive me Lord
for her soul I could not save.

    Darkness, a lonely companion
    my heart midnight black,
    I can no longer abide
    the thought of looking back.

    I pierce my heart
    I was so so wrong,
    falling forever
    beneath her empty song.

  • It’s hot down here

    March 20th, 2024

    It’s hot down here
    By AJ O’Brien.

    Captured by death
    came at me from behind
    the devil lay in wait,
    stole my soul.
Man, am I in a bind.

    Whispered a rancid demon,
    “Hear the Master’s word.
    You shall be set aflame
    and your pleas for death
    will forever go unheard.”

    “You are kidding me
I’ve been as good as I can.
    What did I do wrong?
    I don’t belong down here.
    Go get the main man.”

    “You will burn for eternity
    your soul be dammed,
    the stench of your corruption
    shall bring joy
    to this unholy land.”

“You’re not listening to me, are you?”

  • Monkey on her back

    February 14th, 2024

    Monkey on her back
    By AJ O’Brien.

    Hope, a burning candle
    In search of something
    within a graying town,
came upon a man of old
    dressed in golden brown.

    Spike enters the moment
    given a free trip
    to no man’s land.
    She had found hunger,
    became one of the damned.

    Within her veins
    the killer whispered
    of death and decay,
so hard she tried to stay alive
    but could not pull away.
